Ingawanis Trail Work
Went to Camp Ingawanis this morning with Kerkove to do a little preliminary trail work in preparation for some projects in the next few months. I received a ton of positive feedback from some of the other Iowa racers during the 24 Hours of Iowa held in Boone last weekend. Lots of people that enjoy this venue so we really want to make it a fun and challenging destination on the IMBCS calendar. Started off by cleaning up the opening 100 meters of trail where there was a not-so-friendly off-camber section that forced riders a little wide through a turn. Here is a picture of Kerkove admiring the finished product. A little bit smoother and way better flow through this section now.

We are also going to install some signage so that everyone knows where the trail is going. This is a photo of the posts awaiting their "planting" along the trail.

Here is a closeup of the top of the posts with the bicycle on top to designate that you are still on the MTB trails. Difficulty logos/colors will be mounted below this to help riders decide if they want to keep going or not. :o

We are planning on having a trail work weekend to get a lot of the major stuff started or even done on October 7th and 8th. Times to be posted at a later date.

7:49 AMSweet signage. Trail looks pretty awesome too.
Might have to head north to check it out sometime.
Is it OK for night riding too?
