New wheels

Well, Rhea has been here for 7.5 weeks now and the only problem that I was having was riding in the front seat of Amy's car with a baby carrier in the back seat. These carriers are built like little cockpits now and they take up a ton of space all in the name of safety. The problem was that my knees were going through the dash in the front seats in order to make room in the back seats so it was time for a new car for Amy. We went and looked at one on Friday of last week and were really happy with initial impressions so we decided to go ahead with the purchase. Yesterday afternoon we drove up to Waverly and wheeled and dealed to purchase a new 2006 Chevy Equinox LT. It's a front wheel drive SUV that is quite spacious and yet still small enough to actually fit on the road with other vehicles. I have not owned a GM product since 1993 and vowed that I would never buy a domestic car again but I caved because of how nice this one is assembled...by Canadiens. I think that we will both be happy with this one...for a while.
