Awww Yeahhhh

Day job was sub par yesterday and I really needed a pick-me-up. Thankfully, I worked with Kerkove last night at the shop. Always a good chance to bounce ideas off each other about different aspects of racing, planning races, training, products, and the like. It makes me feel like I am still in the loop. :)

After arriving at home, I hopped on the rollers for a while. Lots of riders talk about how they hate trainers and rollers because it is so boring and I am not disagreeing with that by any means. I can think of a lot of other places that I would rather ride my bike. However, given the time constraints of getting out of work at 6pm, not owning any lights, and really not interestred in freezing my butt off...the rollers are nice to have. I turn on the television for something to look at although the volume is off because I use the MP3 player for a much more motivating audio experience. I also have a fan in front of me to make an attempt at keeping the body temperature at bay. Last night's ride included some interval training consisting of five 30 second sprints with a 60 second cool down in between each sprint. The first set really got the strain built up in the thighs. After a couple of intervals everything really starts to click and things start to feel really good. The second set helps to find exactly where you need to be for proper form, resistance, and other aspects and by the third set the body is firing equally on all cylinders. Feel the burn baby!!! I'm actually looking forward to getting back on already. Finding the proper motivation can make all the difference.

What do you think of this car? Pretty cool stuff and it looks to be "officially" available in the US in 2008 in a four seat version to boot.
