CX availabilty
Here we have the latest bike to make it's way into Blue's ownership. As those of you that know him would expect, it is a Colnago. 2008 Colnago World Cup Cross to be exact, new model for the year. It includes a Shimano 105 10 speed and FSA component spec along with Mavic Aksium Race wheels and the new Prologo saddle. I still have some fine-tuning to do but overall I think that this bike is pretty sweet. Alloy frame with carbon fork and Avid Sorty 4 brakes calipers too. Blue has offered to allow me to use his new Colnago for the rest of the CX racing season.

Sweet Colnago paint scheme, would you expect anything different?

This brings me to CX racing and my own bikes. There have been and still are a few problems with availability of the model and size of CX bike that I had ordered. This is due to availability of components from other manufacturers to complete the build. The last projected ship date would have the bike I ordered arriving right after my last race of 2007. I could still take delivery and use it for winter training now as well as use it next year for racing. I did however choose to use other means for the remainder of this season and focus on acquiring a CX bike later on. Hence the reason that I chose to go ahead and get the SystemSix now.
